I recently picked up a handbag from Amazon that I loved so much, I immediately went back to order it in another color—but my experience the second time around was completely different.
My first purchase was in a beautiful ivory shade, and it quickly became one of my favorite bags for the summer. It comes with a crossbody strap that has a subtle chain detail, which adds a really elegant touch. You can wear it over the shoulder or remove the strap and use it as a clutch, which makes it super versatile.
The texture is what really sold me—it’s incredibly soft and “squishy,” almost like hugging a teddy bear. It also has enough space inside to carry all the essentials without feeling bulky. Overall, it felt like such a great find, especially for the price.
Because I loved it so much, I decided to order it again in a tan color… and that’s where things went wrong.
Even though I ordered the same bag (and it only comes in one size), the second one arrived noticeably smaller, which was confusing right away. While it did include the same crossbody strap with the chain detail, the overall quality was completely different. The bag arrived misshapen, possibly due to shipping, but more importantly, the material was stiff and lacked that soft, plush feel that made the first one so special.
It honestly didn’t feel like the same product at all. The difference in quality was disappointing enough that I ended up returning it.
This experience was a bit of a reminder that consistency can sometimes be hit or miss, especially with budget-friendly finds. One bag was an absolute winner, while the other didn’t live up to expectations at all.
