There is one noticeable downside worth mentioning, honestly. Because the bag is made from PU leather, it arrived with a strong fishy odour that was quite overpowering straight out of the package. It was definitely not a pleasant first experience.
However — and this is important — it is completely fixable!

How I Fixed the Odour — Simple and Effective
Here is exactly what I did to resolve the smell issue completely:
Left the bag outside in fresh air for a few days
Once the smell had faded, I lightly sprayed it with perfume
That completely resolved the problem
The bag now smells perfectly fine and has ever since
This is actually a very common issue with PU leather products, so do not let it put you off. A little patience and fresh air goes a long way!
