Temu east-west bag review featuring a stylish design, roomy interior, and comfortable shoulder straps—plus honest thoughts on lining and hardware.

This bag from Temu was a bit of a risk for me, mainly because PU bags can sometimes come with that strong, fishy odor on the inside. Thankfully, this one didn’t have that issue, which was a great first impression.

The design is what really drew me in. It has that trendy, designer-inspired east-west silhouette, which gives it a sleek and modern look. It’s definitely a style-forward piece and stands out in a subtle, elevated way.

That said, there are a few drawbacks. The interior lining isn’t my favorite—it has a plastic-like feel, and when you place items like a wallet inside, it creates that crinkly plastic sound. For me, that takes away from the overall experience a bit.

On the plus side, the interior capacity is impressive. There’s plenty of room to carry your essentials and more, and the back zip compartment is a nice, functional touch for keeping smaller items secure and easy to access.

The hardware leans more toward a brassy gold tone rather than a true gold finish, which may or may not be a dealbreaker depending on your preference.

One feature I really appreciate is the handle length. The straps are perfectly designed for shoulder wear, offering enough space to carry comfortably without feeling tight or awkward.

Overall, this bag is a mix of pros and cons. The style, size, and comfort are definite highlights, while the lining and hardware might not appeal to everyone. Still, if you’re looking for a trendy, affordable piece with a unique shape, it could be worth considering.
